Night Light Cafés – Lincoln

Back to Support

Night Light Cafés are safe spaces that offer an out-of-hours, non-clinical support service and are staffed by teams of trained volunteers who are available to listen.

They can also provide signposting advice and information on other organisations that may be able to help with specific needs, such as debt advice or emergency food parcels.

Café environments have been created in church buildings and existing cafes to provide a place of safety where guests are welcomed and cared for.

This is good for wellbeing because

  • The Night Light Cafés provide social connection,
  • We are here to listen.
  • It offers a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment

Nightlight Café has genuinely saved my life and I don’t think I would be here today without the support of Night Light. The volunteers were empathetic and helpful, always listened, and able to talk to me about how I could keep myself safe and ways to cope with my thoughts.
